Crashing and nothing else
First time used, 5 crashes in a row, gave up. UPDATE: Tried again, converting one file at a time, and it works fine.
RESOLUTION?
it doesnt go higher that 640 resolution??
Tried to open a wtv file from Windows Media Center and even though it’s clearly listed in the description as supported, it wouldn’t open the file. The file wasn’t selectable in the list when trying to select it. Tried to drag and drop it, received an error stating the file format was unsupported. If a file format is not supported, don’t list it as supported. Makes customers unhappy. Only need to convet wtv files, no need of this program to covert anything else so other file types were not tried.

Ive read some of the other reviews that were based on the availability of a single format. This program handles a lot of formats perfectly well and has proved useful. Hopefully the developers will address some of the issues other users are reporting, but its worth the download and trying it out.

I only need to convert a .mov file to mp4. Converted just fine.
Doesn’t appear to convert .swf files
Despite the description, tried to convert a .swf file; it opened and interpreted it as containing MP3 audio with no video. Not helpful.
I was able to convert a .mv4 to an .swf instantaneously. I must have tried a dozen different applications. Each one asking for $$$$ to convert my files. This app. is actually FREE! (to the best of my knowledge). Thank you!!

An incredible app that does what it says it does
I love this app. From saving my favorite YouTube videos to downloading air hockey championship videos, it has yet to disappoint. HOWEVER. The developer needs to release an update for a native MacOS app that will be fully compatible with the next update of MacOS, because Rosetta support is ending soon. Please let us know when the update is ready, okay?

It just works. I can make a batch conversion and everything just works, and it's very quick too.
Excellent Video App
I see only one issue otherwise it would be a 5+ neat spare app. I purchased the upgrade (reasonable cost), but the program does not recognize the purchase. When I first purchased there was a quick message about not supporting current credentials, so none of the enhancements work. Not sure about message.

Recovered Old Videos
Was going thru old hard drives I hadn’t used since 2015, converted video files to mp4. I converted 626 files in about 3 hrs and 6 minutes. I think I only had two initial errors. Very smooth, will use again!

Could not download single YouTube file.
Pay Twice
I bought this app and it worked well, but not anymore. If I want a high-resolution video, I have to pay again. So, I decided to spend my money on another app instead.

Charging issue
I downloaded the free app. Then paid for the app so I can do what I needed which was locked. After paying what I need is still locked and they are trying to charge me again. Not sure if it’s a glitch or if they charge per transaction. Not good.

Crashes the Macbook
1-Click Video Converter was not able to play a video that I had uploaded from my iPhone 11. Nothing special about it, but 1-Click Video Converter could not handle it. The video did not play, and the audio was heavily distorted garbage. What’s worse, there was no way I could stop it. It wouldn’t respond to any controls. The video was only about half a minute, so I decided to just let it play to the end. When it got to the end, my MacBook crashed. Not exactly what I consider high-quality software.

Although I have used it only once, I am impressed at how fast and easy it was! EXCELLENT!!
Too costly vs alternatives
On the positive side, the conversion is fast and EXIF data is preserved. On the negative side, there are only a few encoding options in the free version and the paid version at $20 is quite costly when there are $5 options around. Also, the UI is very dated and un-mac-like.

had a bunch of public domain files that didn't converted. Selectable all the avi files, determinded thier finall location and Boom goes the dynamite. Wasn't super fast., but simple to use.

Confused and disappointed
The reviews are split. I fall into the disappointed group. The first conversion was just fine. I guess it was a sample. Trying to follow up with another FAILED. I suppose it’s powerful for those who need to invest to do large jobs. My needs are simple. To callout “FREE” is VERY DECEIVING! I notice the developer hasn’t responded to this complaint by others. I was fooled by the positive average being so high. PROCEED WITH CAUTION!

I don’t remember when I started to use this app, but it was a long time ago. I can safely state that it is like Rick Astley: Never gonna give you up, never gonna let you down, never gonna run around and desert you! It will never gonna make you cry, never gonna say good bye or hurt you. Trust it!

Stop Pestering Me to Rate the App
I have been barely able to use the app and it keeps pestering me to rate. So I did.

It works but the nickel & dime for basic features stinks
This app takes in-app purchasing to a new level. Most apps have a basic version that is free but limited or you can buy the upgrade version either as a subscription or a stand alone price. These guys charge for specific features so you end up paying $10 for this feature and $15 for this feature and another for this feature. I regret paying for any of it.

I have only used this app to convert a few files, but it seems to be working well and doing what I hoped it would - reducing files over 1 GB to something much smaller and manageable. I will see in time if it lives up to my expectations.

Conversion Formats Not Compatible with M4 MacBook Pro
Selecting output file types is a nightmare. There are so many different variations, none of which worked on my M4 MacBook Pro. Even the Quicktime .mov output does not open in Quicktime. iMovie doesn’t recognize anything either. The fastest conversion was 2.5 hours to convert a 50 minute video. Most formats I tried were 6+ hours plugged in with no power saving enabled. I tried getting a refund from their support by sending the purchase email from Apple & 2 screenshots showing the pop-up saying I need to Restore or Purchase the Paid Features and the Successful Restore pop-up after that. The features never unlock though. They wanted some other email from Apple that I don’t have. It looked like a business invoice email. I’m just going to leave this 1-star review as an warning to others uninstall this garbage software, and move on with my life. Good luck y’all.
